Grow with Appreciation, Heal with Love

Happy Valentine’s Day! Even though you do not have a valentine, and let this day be a day to celebrate the love in our lives.

Oyku and I did something crazy and sang a song on our Youtube Channel! It is an old Turkish song, which is normally more upbeat but we wanted to sing it slow, since we like this song more when it is slow.

And I have a couple of things to say about the today.

It is so easy to overlook family, friends, nature and so many other things we love. It is so easy to take them for granted.

We grow with appreciation, heal with love.

Let’s appreciate the people we love, cats and dogs we adore and nature.

We all know that days like this are primarily good for the economy. Cakes, candies and flowers are sold and of course the businesses enjoy the seasonal revenue boost. Today so many sweet things are taken in and sweet things are spoken out. So let’s say nice things today.

Yes, these are words of a romantic girl, but wouldn’t it be nice to be more optimistic and wear our pink shades for a day and see through rose-colored glasses?

For the past week we have came across with so many conflicting comments on Valentines Day; some think it is narrow-minded to celebrate your love and valentine on a specific day, while some believe that it is just a nice excuse to spend a day with your significant other. We all acknowledge that these kind of days (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc.) are found for the sake of economy, that the gifts and chocolates we buy on these days help the economy grow. It is a commercial day, but it can be a nice way to remember love.
